They are dropping like flies today. Seems to me someone with an average stack (or even a below average stack) could pretty much play the Sklansky System and easily find themselves a millionaire.

With regards to chips -- and this is mere speculation -- but I assume, for branding purposes, ESPN/Harrah's may have an interest in keeping the chip denominations small so that when the event hits TV, the players are constantly pushing monster stacks around at the FT, even if it takes more time and is annoying for the dealers and players alike.

What about the all in chip? This is the time its actually usefull...

You could probably just fly home and be blinded off the rest of the tourney and have your likely 5th place check mailed you.

Didn't Black have a 5m chip lead with 6 left, and still finished 5th?

[/ QUOTE ]

I know he had over 1/3 of the chips in play when they were 5 handed and went out 5th...not sure exactly what his lead was.

You win. I concede.

You are free to explain why pushing A8s UTG with M of 5.5 is a good play. In any case, theuy were playing 15/30K, so his M was about 11. Pushing A8s UTG for 27xBB is pretty suicidal.

I assume the caller read pusher for a donk, because it is kind of a loose call with AJ. Of course, pushing any hand UTG for 27xBB doesn't make a lot of sense.

So we're to 39 left and Gold has over 300 BBs at the new level? Must be nice.

Players on Break
Players will be on break for the next 20 minutes. The players will return to blinds of $20,000-$40,000 with a $5,000 ante.

[/ QUOTE ]

I've found the problem as to why the structure is going faster than anticipated! Players are only taking about half of the given time for breaks. Too many internet players who are used to only getting 5 minutes.

"mini-bubble" 37->36 about $82K difference. Couple of guys have been hanging in since the start of the day.

[/ QUOTE ]

Do they go into hand-to-hand play for each of these?
