Update on signups and etc:

HALL OF FAME ($200) - 20 | 17 paid <font color="green">ONE SPOT OPEN, pending cash received</font>
chalk7 is next on the list, as soon as I receive his money we're at eighteen.
We'll do a league of ten and a league of eight. Which division you're in will be randomly selected.
We'd take two more signups past chalk7 which would allow two leagues of ten, or four more past him for two leagues of twelve.


PRO BOWL ($100) - 19 | 15 paid <font color="green">ONE SPOT OPEN, pending cash received</font>
chalk7 is also next on the list, pending payment. Here we'll do two leagues of eight teams each. We'd take two more signups past chalk7 which would allow two leagues of ten, or four more past him for two leagues of twelve.


VETERAN ($50) - 15 | 11 paid - <font color="green">ONE SPOT OPEN</font>
We need one more person for a league of twelve people. I will sign up for it if no one else steps forward. We'd then need four more signups past that next person to get to 16 for the next possible split (two leagues of eight).


ROOKIE ($25) - 10 | 8 paid <font color="green"> LEAGUE BALANCED - signups in pairs only</font> can take two or four more
We're good here with a single league of eight. If two more or four more want to sign up together we can take that.

I still need to figure out exactly how we're going to manage the draft since we can't draft on yahoo. Watch this space, I'll post something tonight or probably first thing tomorrow.

I went ahead and grabbed the 9:45 PM EST time right now as that was only 15 minutes off what we'd originally scheduled.

I'm in the process of setting up the rest of the leagues on ESPN. I guess we can draft on there and then i can manually move everyone over to yahoo after the draft.

Note that the times were all pushed back 15 minutes, except the Rookie draft thursday which was pushed FORWARD 15 minutes.


For Hall of Fame and Pro Bowl, we will start both EAST and WEST divisions drafts at the same time...

Tomorrow I'll need to get email addresses for everyone so I can invite you to the leagues. So PM'ing me your email address before I have to ask you for it would be helpful.

Then we need to decide if we keep the league on ESPN or if we move the players to Yahoo. I need to see if the stat tracker purchase on ESPN works across multiple leagues like it does on Yahoo, in which case we could just keep things at ESPN for all i care. we can work that out after the draft.

Well shoot, someone else was already on the list? Crap. If I'm the odd man out I'll do my best to find someone else to get even numbers...I was in from the beginning, just been away from the computer most of yesterday and today.

FWIW I favor keeping them on ESPN. I play almost all my fantasy sports on ESPN, I even pay for the basketball and baseball teams when there is very little in the way of a league prize. Their interface is far superior to any other place I've played (CBS, Yahoo, etc.)...frankly I think any other interface is pretty much unusable, although I would try to stick it out for football since there are less players to track if everyone else wanted to move it off ESPN.

Late night update:

<font color="red">OK we still need one more signup for Hall of Fame and Pro Bowl.</font>

I can talk about how I'll do things once we're set though: Divisions will set using the random sequence generator at Random.org. A sequence will be generated and I will take the corresponding # on the list for the first division, and then filled in everyone remaining in order on the next division.

Draft picks will be auto-assigned by hitting the "Randomize Order" button on the ESPN site. I will trade for whoever had the last pick in the leagues where i'm Commishing but not playing (I will skip my draft picks and want to be last so its easier to skip two picks in a row each time).

The Hall of Fame and Pro Bowl divisions are still open, pending one signup in each.

However the other two have been set. Without further ado:

I also for the record created two open teams in the Rookie league, Team 9 and Team 10. They actually received the 9th and 10th draft spots respectively in the randomization (spooky) so we're set there if we do get two other signups (they will receive the corresponding draft pick). If not, I can delete those two teams easily.

Veteran i'm going to mark as closed completely, as we would need four more signups to jump to a 2x8 league.

Oh, and for the record I vote we stay on ESPN too, pending confirmation that their stat tracker works like Yahoo's where you buy it once and it works across all your leagues...
