Level Up, New Game

STUD 8/0B

The players have entered level 5 and the Stud 8/OB portion of the tournament. The Bring in is still $100 with a $100 ante and a $300 completion.

I think this event is just the pre poker boom pro's way of trying to retake the main event. At the end of the day I expect most of them are sponsored into this event by their site/backers so its really not a true showing of a poker champion. Yeah you can play all the games, but if it aint with your own money it means nothing.

A- stop avatar theft now

B- like people aren't backed in the main event?

lol

What Game Are We Playing?
STUD 8/OB

Gabe Kaplan shows a Jack-high straight and Johnny Chan flips over a qualifying low to split the pot.

"I thought we were playing Stud," Kaplan said, confused how a pot could be split in Stud when he had the high hand. He figured out they were playing Stud Eight-or-Better, where a qualifying low hand can take half the pot.

After he understood, Kaplan explained, "I thought you were trying to show me how smart you are (by showing your hand)" to which Chan replied, "I don't have to tell you how smart I am. You know how smart I am."

Kaplan now sits with $40,000 and Chan has $60,000.

thats purtty.

With all due respect to Chris Moneymaker as a past ME champ, why is he entered in this tourney? I sure hope he is being heavily staked by his sponsers.

Thanks. I was going off the list posed earlier in the thread. It looks like it's been removed.
