[ QUOTE ] Good one. I'll never understand why meat eaters hate vegetarians. just eat your steak and shut up already. [/ QUOTE ] im eating cow right now. i'm actually eating an extra portion just for elaine. [/ QUOTE ] This is what I'm talking about. I seriously hear this from someone who eats meat about 200 times a year. I get it. You are all hilarious. I know, next time we order food, ask me if I want a cheeseburger. Hilarious! Or if we order pizza, ask me if we should get pepperoni. Oh man! Eating a portion for her! That is clever, I'm literally rofling. |

Just do the diagrams! [/ QUOTE ] Im going to assume this simply means you have no real argument, and you're being coy because of it. Also, while we're at it: If, any individual cat HAS to eat meat, isnt that an argument to have them put down? I mean, certainly there is "less overall suffering" if ONE cat dies than all if all the animals it plans to eat die, no? Do cats get a pass because you like them? |

[ QUOTE ]
But the simple fact is my vegetarian lifestyle reduces the overall death and misery on this planet. [/ QUOTE ] There are two types of vego's. There are the vego's who don't eat meat and feel no need to harp on about it. Then there are the vego's who take it as a personal crusade to force their agenda on your average omnivore. Not only do I enjoy eating meat in front of these people, I usually try and follow it up by blowing cigar smoke in their face. Their outrage makes it all so much sweeter. |

[/ QUOTE ] But the thing you don't realize is that 90% of non-vegetarians think it is awesome to constantly tell you how dumb being vegetarian is, how tasty meat is, etc... etc... as soon as they find out you are a vegetarian. It is a 2 way street, but I think the percentages are in the favor of the vegetarians. |

People would be less abrasive if certain vegetarians didn't waste time with accusations about the normal American diet. You have 0% chance of changing our minds.

I have three or four friends who became vegetarian recently because they did, in fact, have their minds changed. I'm not sure what changed their mind, I'm not much of a vegetarian preacher myself, but will talk about it if asked. |

I stopped due to the fact that I became a boring shitless bastard. |

If since Jenny and Tim "can't eat meat" the office can't go to a steakhouse, and you think nobody is going to make jokes or comments, you're kidding yourself. |

[/ QUOTE ] Honestly I know of no guy (male) that eats a regular amount of meat that would quit out of the blue. And that's where it's often been brought up: Go to eat w/ an Indian kid. You order a cheeseburger, he orders a tofu burger. You laugh (this is the correct play). At the table he starts explaining to you the reason he being a vegetarian is so good, blah blah, blah. It's like STFU. |
