I was going out to Vegas about ten years ago and drove from Roanoke, VA to Flagstaff, AZ straight through with a breakfast stop in Little Rock. However, I did start crying in the car when they messed up my McDonald's order in Gallup, NM, so this may not have been a good idea. It was also August and my car had no A/C. After the drive back, over three days, I swore I'd never do that again. I'm also pretty sure I destroyed my car because the engine failed less than a month later.

Hahaha this is awesome (speaking mainly of the crying part of course). My car doesn't have A/C either, this summer in NY was brutal - and being hot isn't the problem as much as the fact that you become a sopping wet mess after 15 minutes in the car and are unpresentable in public if you're wearing the wrong type of shirt. I'll hold off on the A/C until March or so. When the weather forces my hand I'll examine my options.
