Let's just say most of the money went in on the river after I turned the fourth ace.

Re coaching credentials: my opinion on this is based on thoughts I've had as I myself begin coaching. I have one student with whom I'm working thought the horse games, but have not really advertised or gotten any nlhe students. I think an ssnl coach should have a long-term winning track record at 1/2+. Especially with the relatively high number of people offering coaching, I wouldn't expect a student to believe I was qualified to coach 1/2 unless I could produce a 100k+ sample of solid results at 2/4-3/6 in addition to a sufficient sample crushing 1/2. The reason for this is that my experience moving between 1/2 and 2/4 has helped me to see that being a winner at 2/4 enables you to see "the big picture" of the 1/2 games more clearly. The majority of value a coach adds is from being able to consolidate noise into a clear signal, to explain the kinds of mistakes players at the level the student is currently at repeatedly make. It is much easier to see the consistent leaks of the average 1/2 player after having played higher with success. My guess is that market value for someone with your stats but who hasn't played above 1/2 would be something like $100/hour, and you'd be best off coaching someone transitioning from 100nl to 200nl. Assuming you move up and have success, I'd bet you are a couple months away from being worth $150-$200/hour as a coach for 1/2 players who are already mildly successful.

shpanko,

1. nice work
2. yes, move up. if i remember right you are playing absolute. those games are going to be super soft for the next few weeks, even more than normal because of all the drama over there. your winrate is good enough to move up anyways, but i think nows the time to cash in if you're playing there.
3. ya, you could definitely coach some people. there are plenty of people who contact good ssnl players for coaching, but don't want to pay as much as they charge. maybe take a few students on cheaper than you may want to start, and see how it goes.

your w$wsf is painfully low, and your w$sd is higher than most people with similar stats. playing style i guess, but something id keep an eye on.

if this is ABS, loosen up pre, and disregard the w$wsf and w$sd comments.

I agree with this. My interpretation of those stats is that a combination like yours (low when seeing flop/high at showdown) correlates with missing bluffing and semibluffing opportunites and with playing marginal hands too weakly (both folding the best hand too often and getting to showdown with the best hand too often (rather than valuebetting thinner, which leads to not being called some of the time you have the best hand)). It also might mean you are seeing more multiway flops than someone with different stats. This isn't necessarily bad, but it may mean you are missing preflop 3bet and squeeze opportunities. Any of these things are minor tweaks if they are issues at all, given that you have had the success you've had.

My numbers are significantly higher/lower than yours (~42/52) and I'd still rather they be 44+/51-. It should go without saying that playing good poker leads to "good" statistics, not the other way around.
