lol it *was* well played by the "retard"!

obv preflop is sketchy, but you probably steal a ton preflop and he could have just been planning to float you bvb style with atc - nothing too crazy there.

postflop was perfect.

Here are a couple interesting hands from the HU match vs KLJ. I wanted to hear discussion on these, and they probably aren't worth a thread (loldonkaments).

Hand 1:

PLHE Tourney
Table '45485855 1' 2-max Seat #1 is the button
Seat 1: PBJaxx (24160 in chips)
Seat 2: slavery_lol (23840 in chips)

Preflop: Hero is Button with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. PBJaxx posts a blind of 160.
PBJaxx (poster) raises 640 to 960, BB :#A500AF(KLJ)/ calls 640.

Flop: 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
KLJ checks, PBJaxx bets 1280, KLJ raises 2320 to 3600, PBJaxx raises 9120 to 12720, KLJ folds.

At this point in the match we hadn't done much C/Ring and zero flop 3betting. The board was ripe for him to make a move, so a resteal is a pretty self-explanatory play. At the time, I chose my bet-size to make it obvious that I wasn't folding to any sort of 4-bet with as little as overs. Even if the size of the bet made it look like a bluff, there isn't much he can do without a hand. If he pushes here, I probably fold. I have the A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] making a draw less likely, and he knows I can't fold often. Since he will expect me to call any 4-bet, I think I could lay down to one.

Table '45485855 1' 2-max Seat #1 is the button
Seat 1: PBJaxx (21827 in chips)
Seat 2: slavery_lol (26173 in chips)
PBJaxx: posts small blind 400
slavery_lol: posts big blind 800

Preflop: Hero is Button with K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. PBJaxx posts a blind of 400.
PBJaxx (poster) raises 1600 to 2400, BB :#A500AF(KLJ)/ calls calls 1600.

Flop: 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
KLJ bets 3210, PBJaxx raises 4790 to 8000, KLJ raises 15773 to 23773 and is all-in, PBJaxx folds. KLJ had QT

This hand left me quite short, so we flipped a coin after this to give him the victory.

This was the first hand he donked into me as PFR. At the time, I convinced myself that he could donk that flop with ATC just to take it down. I wanted to raise small, but large enough that it left me getting ~3:1 on a call. Once again, I wanted to convince him that I had to call nearly all of my raising range. I was planning to raise/fold, but I almost made the call with 2 overs. It was so close. Finally, based upon how the game had been playing (very few flop raises, etc) while he most likely had a 1pair hand, his range was more likely to include sets/2pair/dominating 1pair hands (KT, QT, pair+FD) than it was to include a total bluff, so I mucked.

I think his lead here was very good. He can't risk giving me a card with a strong but vulnerable hand, so c/c'ing is out of the question. He also knows that I will check behind on occasion after raising. I am not 100% sure he realized this, but a C/R would have made my fold VERY easy. With the stacks where they are at, a C/R as a bluff is just too expensive, so it would be an easy laydown for me. When he lead, I realized that it was his only viable option for bluffing. When you combine that with that it is almost impossible for him to 3-bet as a bluff (cuz I have to call light), I felt like it was the perfect spot to raise. NH KLJ.

Well, no one is gonna read this novel, but those are my thoughts.

this alone should make you decide it might not be the best time to make a big move with air IMO. oversimplifying perhaps, but you see what i mean.

I know it was a bit too long, but I really didn't know where to put it.

You might be right. The flow of the game was changing a lot, though, because of the change in stack size (increasing blinds). The blinds had recently gone up, so even though we were still near even, the game had changed a lot. I probably shouldn't have mentioned that he hadn't donked yet because it was probably somewhat irrelevent.

To your point, though, I think I may have adjusted to him improperly. He was probably less likely to bluff there oop with shallow stacks than more likely.
