I was going to get a coach after my exams when I was at 200NL. My thinking now is that if I cant even beat 50-100NL thenI must have little chance with the higher limits especailly as I have beaten them before

I imagine you are losing money from playing fancy. When I cashed out & moved down to $200 NL, I broke even for aaaages. It was because I was making the moves I made against the over-aggressive regulars at $400 NL against certain regulars at $200 NL who didn't really play the same way. I just went back to ABC poker (mostly) and am pretty confident that I'm beating the game by a good amount again.

Incidentally, I've had a few requests in the past for coaching (that I rudely ignored due to being snowed under at work). How do people go about this? What are people charging, what are people getting for it? I wouldn't mind giving it a go next month perhaps.

I love the subject line

I think we should make a trip out of it. The ssnl Japan trip.

In like 6 months.

So today I asked korean girl if they were talking about me yesterday. She said yeah, but don't worry they were saying good things.

I would pay no more than 20$/hour for coaching from you Sciolist, after seeing some proof that you are a winning player like graphs and you telling people what kinda style you advocate.

nothing personal. i just think all coaches are overpriced. (i wouldn't want to pay anymore than 120$/hour for sbrugby coaching). i think some of the rates ive heard of are a total joke.

Don't know why I'm bothering trying to write a slightly improved pokerstove perl script. Guess it's edumacational in some way.

Hehe, derangement (Math::Combinatorics).

Since I cant seem to win in 6-max, im bored, I load up some full ring tables. 7th hand of the session, a LP raises and I repop in the SB with AKo. He puts me all in after my c-bet and I call, he flips Q8 on an AT9r and hits gutshot on turn.

25,000 hands this month, and my WTSD% is about 19.5%, and W$atSD is 49%. How standard is this? What about a 36% W$atSD on the button?
