You are 100% correct: this story doesn't make sense. That's why I'm doing my darndest to get to the bottom of it.

You can say that again.
For a "personal email" from mom to son, it is incredibly well articulated, with intelligent arguments. Your mom is one sharp cookie.
Also, for the conspiracy theorists who think that you are making the whole thing up; it seems pretty clear from the writing style, that you didn't ghost it.

I'm 52 and have been known to 8 table effectively. It's not a big deal.

She says she never played 40+ hours.

I believe both Teddy and his mom. Something else is up. Probably to do with the software she tried out.

No, she DOESN'T play 40+. That's the whole point. Stars claimed she played 43 hours straight, but she swears she's never played more than 4 or 5 max. As far as her emails, what can I say: she's verbose, as evidenced in her email to me. She's also an intellectual -- she tells me that she no longer cares about playing poker and was looking for an excuse to quit (which this certainly is) because she was spending too much time at it. At this point, I think she cares most about the pride thing, and is really pursuing Stars as more of an academic exercise. Just my guess.

This thread is awesome. Don't regret posting this for a second, well worth the entertainment value alone. I am pretty interested in the other emails like many others but it doesn't seem like Stars is saying much other than they claim she played 43 hours straight and that they aren't going to provide more details.
