I thought the ump really sucked today, he seemed very inconsistent. Quick question: I've seen a couple MLB games and some college games that use a high-center camera, so the angle is from directly behind the pitcher. Obviously, this makes it tons easier for the viewer to determine exactly where pitches were located. Why haven't I seen this camera used in every game?

Looks like a good performance out of Ponson, but he tired out.

Nice to see Edmonds get a big hit. Spezio contributing is good, but how bad is Rolen? I'm getting concerned

I wouldn't be too concerned about a case of bronchitis. I assume the cards are just been very cautious to make sure he doesn't affect anyone else on the team.

On a completely unrelated not:
I was glancing at the standings tonight and noticed only three teams in baseball have fifteen wins. The astros, reds, and cardinals. That's pretty crazy.

MLB record 14th HR in April to give the Cards a 2-1 game winner. Carp looked awesome. Looper looked great. Izzy walked the bases loaded but got 3 outs without a run, which is good for him.
Washington played an excellent defensive game and overcame some horrible home plate umpiring to keep the game 1-1 through the early innings.

16-8, going for another series win tomorrow.

I hear it's a good strategy to walk 3 consecutive batters up one run with two outs in the 9th
