Is it possible that PostgreSQL databases make this puppy run REALLY slow when trying to find players? It's really slow on my desktop, which I'm using a PostgreSQL database, and works pretty fast on my laptop, which is a regular Access database.

I had the same problem and saw a significant change when I compressed my databases. Don't know if this is the solution though.

Has anybody had any success with running this in a different user area? I've tried a few different remote admin utils and nothing seems to work from user area to user area

I have a feeling the VM idea will go wrong after somebody tried installing multiple copies of Party and couldn't get them to run (I guess the same will happen if you try to run a copy in a VM?).

If anybody has got this idea working, then can you plz post the name of the utility which worked.

I even resorted to trying the WinHoldem hider thing called WinPP (not that I would have been very happy running that at the same time as Party...). It did work via a loopback (unlike anything else I tried), but just displayed a totally black screen for calculator, notepad and all the other apps I tried

I think it looks like the running PTS in another user area idea is doomed to fail whatever I try...

Gona try a virtual machine now, and see how slow that is and/or if it will even work.

Just an idea, but do the people who are experiencing this problem have the TweakUI x-mouse option turned on?

What is this TweakUI x-mouse option that you speak of? I'm having the same slowing problem many of the others are having.
