I just saw an article on the Yahoo team page w/ a bunch of quotes from Pennington saying he was gonna try to play...maybe it's all lip service, I dunno.

Im not worried about the Ravens O even though we looked like crap last week on D. If we can manage to have a decent offensive game with no turnovers and have solid special teams, I think even with Kellen we have good shot at winning.

But then again, there are a lot of question marks that need to be answered.

I have to say, I do not feel as optimistic against the Ravens, however the Ravens did not look that sharp against the Bengals.

McNair did not play that well.

When was the last time we beat the Ravens? Sadly, I still remember the Week 17 game a few years ago when Vinny got picked apart.

I thought the Ravens would have a very good team this year with the addition of Mcgehahheehhy (sp?)

That being said I do not know the last time the Jets beat the Ravens. I predicted in an earlier thread the Jets would start out 0-2 possibly 0-3. I do not like our chances against Miami either.

Didn't Billick already have one foot out the door before last season? I recall a rapidly aging team with a pitiful offense right before McNair came to town. Even w/o Pennington I think Mangini can keep this close and maybe even pull big upset. Probably wouldn't bet it though...

Well the Miami game might be a 14-7 snoozefest. Their offense is brutal and I do not think the Jets O-line can stop their front 7. It is going to be a boring game most likely.

Thats what triggered Fassil into getting fired.

Billick spared his job and let offensive coordinator Jim Fassil go.
