You're right. I have very little interest in this forum in it's current state. It's a clusterfuck and I refuse to post here regularly until that is fixed. If it were cleaned up, I would post here quite often.

[/ QUOTE ]

I just want to clarify that that only applies to the STT forum. I do care a lot about 2+2 as a whole. I highly recommend it on my website, and I often get emails asking me where a player should go to learn, and I always suggest the 2+2 forums as well as the 2+2 books. Who knows, maybe I'll be writing a bookf or 2+2 one day.

If DS didn't want to make a separate tax forum because there are already too many forums on 2+2 I doubt that he will make multiple STT forums.

Irie nailed everything on the head in his previous post. If it weren't for my vacation out in Vegas during the wsop, I wouldn't be where I am today (I am about to have my first 10k month ever, and I am very proud of that as I have overcome many personal demons in my journey to get to this point.) If this forum were split, I never would have gone on that first trip. Splitting this forum could be the worst thing that could ever happen.

I dunno, I still think itd be a lot less fun to split the forums. Most $215 hands that are posted aren't really very revolutionary to be honest.

[/ QUOTE ]

No one wants to post interesting hands because they know they won't get the discussion they deserve. This will all change w/ a new forum.

[/ QUOTE ]

I would really like to see a couple very interesting high limit hands that turned to [censored] because low limit posters gave crappy comments. You say nobody posts interesting hands because they know that the threads will be crappy anyway..but why do you say that? Show me one or two interesting hands posted in the last 6 months resulting in crappy threads and I'd be a lot more supportive of this.

JB,

BarronVangorToth is a regular, monthly contributor to 2+2 Magazine.

Cit,

You and ZJ both have good points. However, I do not think you'll disagree that the content of the forum has dropped. Yeah, TNT is dead/dying/etc., but c'mon, as much as I liked hanging out with everybody this weekend, I want to see some poker threads posted in here too and there's one lonely thread with real content every few days.

ZeeJustin,

You definitely have a point that this forum is nowhere near as good as (for example) mid stakes limit/NL or shorthanded. However, turning it into high stakes limit and its 3 threads per day that the same dozen people halfassedly post in (note that this doesn't mean they aren't occasionally really, really good, it just means that it gets far less traffic than it should) is not the answer any more than 57 threads with 'OT' in the title.

All,

I would like to see this same poll with an added option to make an effort to voluntarily limit the OT stuff to...umm...less than now. W/eva.

This is the best point I've heard so far. If I go a day w/o reading STTF I have to wade onto the 2nd or 3rd page to find where I left off. If some high-stakes dude comes in after a week, it may be pretty tough for him to sift through 7 pages to find one or two interesting threads that he may have some input on.

[/ QUOTE ]
I think this is where weekly digests come in pretty handy. I've been thinking of writing a quick system that allows people to submit nominations for threads to make the weekly digest, and then I'd go through and pick what I feel are the best out of those (and probably eventually get a couple other posters to sort through the nominations and choose the best ones).

Jeez. At the moment, the only hands under discussion on the front page are from the $530s.

Will you guys get out of here already? You're taking up bandwidth with issues that none of us mechanical players can understand.

Theres soooo many 22-55,109ers that are good and give good advice. Us low stakes players dont "need" the best players advice. We can get to the next level with other players advice. I say split.

[/ QUOTE ]
This is a very good point. It doesn't take the top players to tell you how to beat 22s. SSHE + SNGPT can tell you how to beat 22s, to be honest. Someone said that taking advice from another low limit player is like "blind leading the blind," and I think that's a pretty narrow-minded statement.

Anyway bottom line is that if there's a split, it'll compel me to move up higher, which I really should have been doing for quite a while now.

So long as 1 person in the Low Forum owns SNGPT, 90% of the threads will be taken care of. No need to worry about the blind leading the blind.

Also, I agree with Perg, splitting the forums would motivate me to move up. I've been cashing out winnings from 33s and 55s like a scared little bitch rather than moving up and improving my game for way too long.
