So you never let villain bet at you with a weaker hand, or with a bluff? Thats -EV.

I never said never. My aggression factor is far below 10.

I already posted this in the Microbrew thread but figured it should go here instead. I've cut down a bit on my aggression as suggested earlier.

I'm starting to feel ready for NL100 now, but I'm probably gonna stay at NL50 for another 5k hands or so.

I am noticing my Cbet numbers seem much higher than the ones posted here. I am moving over from limit where I used to cbet almost everything, do I need to cut down on these or are they okay?

Over 26k hands my stats are 20.5/15/3.1
Flop/Turn/River agression is: 3.65/3.17/1.31

overall, i think everyone is too caught up on stats and need to worry more on postflop play.

the only reason i opened this thread is to find this point and note on it. now ive had some nasty swings these past 2 months from some multiple suckouts so my winrate isnt too great. it feels like about 70% of 3 outters hit on me after all the money goes in. i usually have the best hand when the money goes in, and these players are still willing to do it against me. and ive been running 15/10/2.68 and still making money. not to mention all the sklansky bucks ive raked up. dont worry about, ohhh im only playing this many hands or raising this much. you can play 22/22/5 and still be a loser if you dont know when to fold or get all hte money in.

Hi, I'm looking to make this my career and I'm very serious about improving my game. I've read a lot, got a CR membership, etc and yet for some reason I'm still not beating low limits. Here are all my stats and a graph showing my ridiculous sideways rollercoaster bankroll. I think I'm doing something fundamentally wrong somewhere. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

The only thing I can say I know is wrong with my game is that usually once or twice per session I might get "personal" with an opponent and shove or reraise to try and like, prove I'm better than him or something stupid like that. Otherwise I think I'm fairly anti-tilt.

Thanks!

Quick response is you are too loose PF for your post-flop style. ie you are seeing too many showdowns and not winning them. You should be winning over 50% of showdowns, so it looks like you are either not giving up on hands soon enough and/or not playing the flop/turn agressively enough when you have a weak hand (1 or 2 pair).

You should tighten up PF until you build more post-flop skill. On the flop, bet out more when you hit it or are making c-bets. Fold if you hit resistance on the turn, and stop bluffing at the river so much. Check your win rate for suited connectors, I'd put money on them being a leak.

Quick thoughts, GL
