[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Just FYI: Hello Noah, At today's exchange rate, the EPT Monte Carlo package (excluding accomodation) comes to W$13,650. If you win a seat in a satellite after doing this, you'll receive W$ instead of the seat. I hope this helps, but if you have further queries, please do not hesitate to let us know. Best regards, Andrew PokerStars [/ QUOTE ] Owned, my seat cost $13,125...although they may have included the VIP package in your cost (which is just a buffet) [/ QUOTE ] and a [censored] buffet at that, god the stars food last year was terrible [/ QUOTE ] I don't think I ever asked you extensively about this, Jeff, and I don't think I ever heard anything about it. As a whole, how did your experience go last year? (SO MUCH SARCASM) |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] I've come to the conclusion that some people just like to complain. Given the alternatives, capping the entries, playing shorter levels, or playing crazy long nights I love the decision to add 1 extra day at the end. 6-10 people (all of whom will be much wealthier) will need to change their plans and the rest of us get an extra nights stay for free. Once again I think Stars has come through with flying colours. I think I might use the extra day to rent a car and drive into Italy before coming home. ANd if I screw up and happen to be playing the final table I'll have to take my winnings and use them to plan a return trip. My suggestion for those that are unhappy is just to stay home and keep the spending money and leave an empty seat at the tournament. That will send stars a message and for sure they'll get it right next year. [/ QUOTE ] No offense, David, but that is bullcrap. The extra day means I am missing the equal of xmas eve or thanks giving dinner for you guys. Obviously I don't have to stay for the FT, but it still sucks. [/ QUOTE ] Again, if you have to stay that extra day you're taking home at least a mid-six-figure paycheck. I'd stab Santa with the turkey wishbown from Thanksgiving to be in that position. On a more serious note, yours is the most legitimate complaint I've heard so far about this. On the one hand, I want to say I hope it doesn't become a problem for you, but that comes a bit close to wishing you bad luck in the tourney which doesn't feel right either. [/ QUOTE ] what people dont understand is that Jewish holidays are extremely different from that of other holidays..my family as an orthodox jewish family follow ALL of the rules. A Pesach Seder is an extremely holy time, it is what Jews call a "red letter" day, which means that all of the rules that must be followed on the Sabbath must be followed on that day as well. Which means, no driving, no using electricity, etc. Ontop of that, on Passover (Pesach) you cannot eat bread...only matzah...which taste like absolute **** by changing the schedule it DOES horribly screw Jews, and just because they are raking in the money doesn't mean that the religious Jews won't miss one of the biggest holidays of the year. [/ QUOTE ] What people don't understand is that while I'm an atheist, or at least agnostic (like a huge portion of the Israelis), but I still celebrate jewish holidays. The fact that I don't actually follow Sabbath rules doesn't mean I don't celebrate the Seder. In fact, this will be the first time in my 24 years on this planet that I won't be celebrating it with my family in Israel. |

Guys, if having a Seder is important to you, why don't you organize one with 2+2ers? Surely Yuv can bring a box of Matzoh.

There's no real "passover food". Totally depends on where you come from. Eastern Europe food just sucks in general (boo for me). But if you're a Northern African jew, then your seder food will kick ass.

[/ QUOTE ] I assume he meant matzah and maror and just the general lack of yeast in foods (I'm assuming this is the tradition in israel as well, maybe not) |

Obviously, but the lack of yeast doesn't equal food. Just the lack of certain foods
Maror isn't actually eaten. I mean, you're suppose to eat it while saying grace, but it's not actual food. |
