mlagoo,

you are required to pay the taxes on your piece of the winnings.

schneids will only be liable for the 1/3rd of his action or whatever he has.

[/ QUOTE ]

are you sure this is true? As far as I know you're supposed to pay tax on an amount as soon as its available to you; I think schneids may have to pay in the tax bracket in which his total winning lies

I don't really know anything about this though and to get a real answer you need to ask a tax attorney

grats to the schneids corporation.

edit: something i've always wondered about. do you take your percentage out of his post-tax or pre-tax profit?

because if its pretax, that could be kinda brutal, right?

[/ QUOTE ]

i'm sure the guys who have a piece of mike are friends of his, and would of course expect to get paid post-tax. to expect otherwise would be foolish and cockish.

Is Kenna James not a good player?

[/ QUOTE ]

good at NL and terrible at limit from my understanding.
-James

[/ QUOTE ]

2 hands from tourney Mikey played vs Kenna:

First day, Mikey opens 66 in CO, Kenna 3 bets A8o on button, Mike calls.

Q9x 2 hearts check bet call.
turn is either Q or 9, Check bet checkraise, think think call.

River makes final board something like Q9xQ9 bet call.

Final table hand Kenna vs Mikey.

Mike raises in early 8 or 7 handed with ATs, Kenna calls bb. flop is T86 rainbow check bet call. Turn 4 putting 2 clubs out, check bet, check raise by Kenna, Mikey 3 bets without too much hesitation and kenna goes into tank for at least 30 seconds and finally calls. River Q, check check, Kenna rolls KQo and drags. Pwned.
