[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] How do I set up pokertracker to import these files automatically? I read something about naming a file empire.exe, but didn't quite understand. [/ QUOTE ] 1. Make a folder for mining somewhere. 2. Copy an execuatble into this folder and rename it EmpirePoker.exe (or another skin you don't use). 3. Copy FreePHG.exe into this folder also. 4. Open up some tables (see below). 5. Start running FreePHG.exe from your mining folder and you should start to see .hhf files appearing for the tables you are watching. 6. When you want to import these hands, point PT at this folder by pointing it at the EmpirePoker.exe (it will then think this folder is the empire folder and [auto-]import from their). [/ QUOTE ] I got everything working, but it isnt importing the hands. I Dont understand #2 - copy an exe file into the folder....could someone explain that and i should be all set.....thanks [/ QUOTE ] To be able to import the .hhf files you need to point poker tracker at what it thinks is a Party Skin dirrectory. So you can either install EmpirePoker and then run FPHG from the main empire folder where EmpirePoker.exe is located (you don't run empire, just run FPHG from within that folder and point PokerTracker to import observed hand histories from the empire folder as notmal) OR You can copy an executable (".exe") file into another folder where you are running FPHG, rename the execuatble "EmpirePoker.exe", and setup PokerTracker to import from this 'fake' empire poker folder. Juk [/ QUOTE ] thanks again for your help, but its still not importing into PT. The folder adds table names when i run it, so i think it appeats to be working. But still no imports into PT. It wont allow me to add the folder to PT so i put the folder in with the old Empire folder i used to use but its still not working. Any idea why i am unable to add that folder to PT or why its not working? thanks Sorry |

I am really not the best person to ask, as I don't use PT anymore.
Perhaps somebody who uses PT can write the steps more clearly than I did (as I am doing this from memory, and most likely I missing something...). Juk |

One thing that might help if you having problems with .hhf importing, is to try to import as .txt files. I explained how to get FPHG to export as .txt if you follow this sub-thread in the iWitness v2 thread.
Sorry I can't be more help on how to get the .hhf working, but hopefully a PT user who can explain how they doing it will post here soon. Juk |

Not sure if this helps but I'll throw it out there:
The HHF files are for observed hands, so you need to configure your "observed hands" settings, rather than your "regular" settings for importing hand histories, to import the HHF files from the FreePHG folder. I was making this mistake. |

[/ QUOTE ] Yes, I tried to keep it the same as it was before because observed hands can be imported without saving the actual hand history text (uses less space and slightly faster impost I think), and this way you just get the data-mined stats (which is what most people want the observed hands for anyway). How come I can't get this to work? I opened some tables on Party, ran the FreePHG executable, but it's not creating any .hhf files in the directory.

How come I can't get this to work? I opened some tables on Party, ran the FreePHG executable, but it's not creating any .hhf files in the directory. [/ QUOTE ] How long did you wait? It uses the first hand it sees at each table as a reference hand and won't write it. It does this so that it knows new hands at that table will have a higher hand number, else it can end up writing a corrupted 1st hand. Also, are you using version 0.01 or version 0.02? Version 0.02 outputs some information on what it is doing by default (whereas v0.01 needed the -v option using, else it just displays a blank screen). Only other reason I can think of is that you system is under very high strain (FPHG uses a lot of CPU to poll memory, and if the system is under high load then it wont get enough CPU time to scan for hands). Juk EDIT: Also try restarting both FPHG, Party and iWitness. I did one night leave it all running and woke up with no hands at all (but wasn't sure if I forgot to run something or if the party servers had gone down seconds after I went to bed...). So their could be something like this happening on rare occasions. |
