This makes much more sense than a flat $4 mil each month and still adds up to $12 mil. |

I really think they would've made 3 million if they had that one up. |

[/ QUOTE ] As it stands, they'll probably come real close to 3 mil anyways. If the mini goal had been within closer reach, I agree you'd expect a surge, but a lot of the additional donations would simply replace donations that those people would have made at a later date. Plus it's hard to say what incentive the higher goal had earlier in the month, so maybe if it had been 3 the entire time, we wouldn't necessarily be so close to 3 right now. Ultimately it's just really hard to speculate how potential donors will react to certain declared goals, imo. I think 3-4-5 makes more sense from an internal perspective, but to use that as your stated goal is sort of odd in that it might convey "eh, this month isn't as important as the next one." I think keeping them all at 4 is probably the better play. |
