Funny Story #1:

2 weeks ago we had dmk jr's 2nd birthday party. Nothing big, just family and a couple friends - probably 25 ppl total.

For food mrs dmk decided to do lasagne and her mom was bring roast beef. Being the good husband I am, I helped her out w/ everything.

dmk jr naps around 1 and mrs dmk goes up to lay down in his room for a few minutes. She asks me to put the lasagne in the oven so its ready @ 4 when ppl start arriving.

I go down, take it out of the fridge and scratch my head. I might lose you here, but Glad makes an oven-safe disposable pan type thing thats essentially plastic. Anyway, it also has a plastic lid, but I don't think its graded for oven-use.

I go upstairs and ask mrs dmk if I'm supposed to use the lid or foil and she whispers something - all I make out is "lid" (she's still in dmk jr's room so we didn't want to wake him up).

So I throw the lasagne in. Fast forward to 3:45 when its done. Open the oven, and plastic lid melted. And people coming over like right then. And they're hungry.

She's like "WTF? I said DEFINITELY NOT THE LID". I'm all like "WTF I ASKED WHAT TO USE, NOT WHAT TO NOT USE". It sucked for a solid 5 minutes, but then it was hilarious. Because I'm a total moran. And everyone was going to be starving because of me.

WHO THE HELL SELLS A PAN/LID COMBO WHERE ONLY THE PAN IS GRADED AS OVEN-SAFE. WTF, IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE!!!!

dmk

Obviously, you're 100% at fault. You should have had your mind reader serviced prior to such a vital event as a child's birthday party.

From talking to others I got the impression that you make the decisions, yes. If that's wrong let me know as I will not trust the person/persons who I talked to before as much in the future.

Don't let Mets fool you - he is obviously a dictator at heart. Why do you think he hasn't joined HBE's open to everyone in thread alliance yet? Because he can't make the decisions LDO

It seems likely I wont' make it to my computer until closer to 8:30 or 9:00 tonight. So I'm extending the deadline to 9PM.

NOTE: If you fail to submit a response for the challenge, you will receive an automatic vote the next time you are nominated.

If you are a habitual non-responder, you may be evicted summarily, or be nominated with no hope of Veto.

I guess everybody ran out of steam as soon as I got online yesterday. Heh. Talk among yourselves, even though I'm in the room...

All is back to normal in the world again, however, because someone called me a wolf even before I posted. I was shocked, SHOCKED, that it was my third day of WW play before anyone voted me in BobO's game. Maybe the key is to always skate in late as a sub rather than being there at the start.

Considering how few friends I've had in PM so far, I guess I'll just have to win the HOH and see how many new friends I suddenly get, hm?
