I used to think he made those weird raise sizes to make them look bigger than they are, but then I realized he just can't do math.

So what's the hightest cash game level he could beat right now? discuss [/ QUOTE ] I have no idea but I would guess a lot of ranked mtt players wouldnt be able to beat 5-10 over 100k hands on stars or full tilt. Could be completely wrong tho. I have seen him at the 10-20 Hu tables on full tilt occasionally, so maybe he can win at cash, or maybe he blows his mtt winnings there, who knows |

Last post in this thread. He calls a huge all-in with a low open end straight draw, and nothing else. These are the BS hands he makes that allow him to win. Hopefully this starts a run of bad luck and he realizes that he sucks and is nothing more than a lucky POS.

[ QUOTE ] he's putting in a [censored] of volume this month to hopefully let me ride his coattails for like 10kish and I bet if you stalk anyone in this competition you could make 100 posts a day on each person of their badbeat HHs. Also, ike is dead on as expected [/ QUOTE ] what is ike even trying to say? I'm very confused. That lilholdem is a better tournament player than me? lol, that is obviously not true. I can't really tell what he's trying to say. [/ QUOTE ] yah, thats what i'm saying. you could write a better book on tournament poker but i think he's lightyears better than you at actually playing. |

This thread has somehow turned into an awesome litmus test for 2p2 posters. Everyone I already thought of as self-satisfied, closed minded prick who's not half as good at poker as he thinks he is, is coming out of the woodwork to bash lilholdem. All the posters whose opinions, poker and otherwise, I usually respect are defending him. If AEJones wants to start playing tournaments, I'll crossbook his action against lilholdem's in a heartbeat. [/ QUOTE ] 100 % agree |

[ QUOTE ] In the interview, it was stated that he dropped out of school in the 7th grade. Then, he apparently was in some trouble and spent time in jail. Then, he discovered poker, and cleaned up his act, so to speak. Well, if that is true, then it makes sense that he is not well educated. And, just b/c he isn't, doesn't make him an idiot (just maybe not a good interviewee). Obviously, the interview was comical from a poker content perspective. I mean, he is not good at articulating how he plays and whatnot. But, he obviously must play good. And, maybe, in some weird way, he can see things in poker that educated people cannot. I mean, this kid has a whole other realm of life experiences that none of us pretty boy college types could ever really understand. He's sort of like that amazing guitar player you know that can't read a note of music, and has no idea about music theory, other than the names of a few basic chords. But, he can somehow rip out any type of music better than anyone you've seen. Somehow, he just has it. And, "it" is something that the general poker population wishes they had. It is frustrating and difficult to admit that after all of the time you have put into the game, this uneducated idiot with a grill will always be better than you. [/ QUOTE ] he's the stu ungar of online mtts (fwiw i believe it's totally possible to be a good player without being able to articulate it, and that some people do have much more of a natural instinct for the game) [/ QUOTE ] I agree, but I think that even Ungar could articulate why he played as well as he did to a more exact degree than this guy... though to a large extent his brain seems built for teh hold'em tourneys and more power to him as a result. |
