[ QUOTE ] 7 bi, ouch that bites. Bad play involved? [/ QUOTE ] I wont pretend that I played perfectly, but the beats were incredible, mind blowing. Im reviewing the session now, then I'll come back for another hour and a half of play to see what I can do, then I'll be done for the night. In a way Im sort of glad because I've never had a downswing this bad and I needed to know what it felt like. FWIW its not very nice lol [/ QUOTE ] This is my approach, too. I'm glad I'm experiencing downswings as long as I play down here so I can learn to deal with it. My biggest is 16 buy-ins (right now, lol, but I already recovered to 10) but you will be hard pressed to find a successful MSNL player who hadn't had 20 buy-in downswings. These are a part of poker and the sooner you learn to deal with stuff like that the sooner you become more "connected" in the sense of that post. |

I'll never learn how to deal with downswings. I swear every fold I'm making is perfect, but I shouldn't have to =/

Also, do you guys know about the "pot odds" radio button in the HH reviewer in PT? Make sure you are using it, it auto calculates your pot odds and gives you a little tick or a cross depending on your equity, which you can determine in pokerstove. So in this image I am good on this board versus villains calling range because the extra money in the pot gives me a profitable push based on pot odds. I think.

[ QUOTE ] ... They float, they always hit the turn. Countdown to tilt... [/ QUOTE ] don't play OOP ????? profit [/ QUOTE ] qft. Im done reviewing the session and tho I would say about 5 of the 7bi lost were just setups and beats, the interesting thing was that almost all my big pots were lost OOP. There were a lot of smaller pots lost raising or calling marginal hands OOP which could have been avoided. Might need to study this a bit more. Well on to part 2, see if I can get unstuck a little... |
