JB, there will always be some haters. from what i saw (granted, i really only saw bits and pieces of the FT) you played very well, very aggressively. when you play that aggressively, you're always teetering on the edge, but you never seemed to go over it. |

[ QUOTE ]
Benza, After I dropped like 20% of my stack on the JJ v AK race with Seph, I was surprised I didn't blow up either. I don't think I am anything special, but I do think I played 27 to 9 well, getting very lucky to get AA v KK in a Button-SB situation. After getting very lucky on a bad resteal with A2 vs AK with 45 left, I don't think i put a lot of money in the pot in any dominated situation. Sorry there are some haters, but I am on cloud 9 and y'all can't keep this dog down. JB [/ QUOTE ] I really liked what I saw and I watched you from about 20 on down. Once you had the stack, you used it to beat your opponents over the head. The only call I didn't like was A3 in the BB. A lot of people, including me, blow through their first big win. If you decide to step up in cash games, spend some bucks on a good coach. |

A,
Thanks for the kind words. I agree the call there was bad, but it wasn't much of my stack (less than 10% if i recall) and I felt like his range was wide enough to warrant a call. In retrospect, he was playing relatively tight and I probably could make the fold. I rember thinking at the time that if he had much more I fold. Harrington's 10% "knat" rule entered my mind as I decided to call. As for stepping up, I doubt I will. Being successful in poker or business requires honest self awareness and I just dont think I will ever have a real edge in the game. I am very aware that this was a one time thing. My stingy nature keeps my "comfort limit" pretty low, so I just dont have a desire (nor fortunately a need) to play higher. I just released my FT hands to PS provided at least 3 others do so. So for those interested, it will be up. I also loaded the whole tourney into the pokerXfactor viewer but haven't put it out for public viewing yet. JB |

JB,
out of interest, what are your normal limits in cash/MTTs? |

$3/6 limit HORSE, O8b. .5/1 NLHE or PLO (prefer PLO HU). A $22 rebuy is the high end of my tourny buyin threshold.
