i am rooting for you wickss. while personally, i wouldn't go about it in the same way you are, i admire your determination.

i'm sorta doing the same thing, working a pretty well-paying software by day and grinding it out by night. i started with a $200 roll about 6 weeks ago, fired up the 11s and am grinding up limit in hopes of having a big enough working BR to reap regular, withdrawable profit from when i go back to school for an mba in the fall. at $3500 now which is still way not enough, but continuing to grind grind grind and learn.

the only thing i would suggest is, as others have, move up limit as fast as you can while staying "properly" banked. set stop losses to move back down. if you can get to the 11s, and can even maintain half of your 100/day goal, with 15% ROI you wouldn't be doing too terribly. if you crash and burn, you will have done it quickly and can move on. if you are sucessful, then you will be able to grind up a big enough working BR to extract a real living from. and if you end up being the next zeejustin, then next year we'll proclaim you our hero who started out at 3 dollar sngs and is now mister big-time sit n go.

good luck and godspeed! i will be rooting for you and checking on your progress as i continue to grind my own similar quest.

what does the keyboardhand do? just curious

[/ QUOTE ]It pushes the "4" key repeatedly when I want to go all in. It also pushes the space bar to register for tourneys.

Maybe when you start making money you can afford some Monitors from the 21st century.

[/ QUOTE ]And a new computer with support for three monitors. And a laptop that can run Poker Tracker faster.

a pci video card is very cheap to buy and add into an existing PC to enable support for more monitors. $US20 should get you one, i imagine.

then again, that's half a day's wages, so these things are relative.

Wow, you guys really are hilarious, I mean side splitting funny. I did have to remind wickss of the irony of his shirt when I took the pics, and asked him if he wanted to opt for something else, but he insisted on going with it. Thats just the kind of man he is, no ego, definitely not taking himself or life too seriously. I thought about snapping more pics of his apartment, including his (no lie) 21 book poker library. I'll leave that one up to you guys, if you need more pics, I'd be happy to oblige. Well, so far the support has been overwhelming, and even the criticism often provides excellent comic relief. I think we would all agree life can be an exciting journey, who knows if this will inspire one of you to become the next wickss. A noble aspiration indeed.
