wsex gm,
You clearly do not endorse name grabbers, HUDs, et all, which I'm fine with. But it looks like we need a final statement as to the validity of autohotkeys on the site. I understand that the latest updates have added a hotkey functionality, but I have not tried them because I have a working AHK script that I use to make action across two tables when I play. I'm not sure how your implementation deals with multiple tables, but I am sure that I like the ergonomics of my own. I make all of my own decsisions, but I just use the arrow keys to execute them during the hand. I do not run any bots. I don't make bots, I break them. I've had headsup battles with at least three diff ones. I didn't report them because I can beat them, but I do support your efforts to rid us of them. (they're not very fun to play against in non-headsup situations) so, bots:bad autohotkeys:not bots IMO wsex stance on autohotkeys:? |

I'm making no assumptions about DAC's guilt or innocence and have played very few hands with him or her.
That being said WPX is handling this very well. They've told him why his funds are seized both privately and publicly. WPX has spelled out the exact process by which he can appeal, both through WPX and through a governmentally run regulatory body. The GM has said that they will privately and publicly apologize if they're wrong. WSEX has a long established reputation as a reliable, trustworthy site. They aren't in the business of arbitrarily seizing players' funds. If DAC is innocent, based on WSEX's reputation, he should feel confident that he'll be getting his money back. The way this is being handled is a credit to WPX. Yes, WPX should be more specific about which programs are allowed, and I'd guess that they will be in the very near future, but any regular reader of the WPX monthly thread knows that they don't want players to use programs which put names in the hand histories. It is unclear why so many players consider it a burden to honor this request. If WPX is now catching bots it is a major upgrade and enhancement to the way they run and manage the site. This serves the interests of all players who want to play in an honest and fair game. Keep up the good work, Fred Balfour. |

Well,I am honestly sorry if my gut is telling me wrong on this. Congrats on getting your money, if you played all the hands you definitely deserve it and then some!!!
I am going to guess that if you are either extremely skinny, or extremely fat... you definitely played enough to get it! |

No PT, no bots, no player assistance software, no IM. That is how poker should be played. Thanks WPEX. [/ QUOTE ] QFT |

It seems like a very shady operation and I wouldn't want to lose my roll b/c someone believes I was cheating without proof. I've heard of WSEX doing similar shady stuff to some of their winning sports bettors. [/ QUOTE ] WSEX is rated A+ and is on the recommended list at Sports Book Review If they had any history of scamming their customers over their decade of operations, then they would not be so honored. [ QUOTE ] World Sports Exchange is one of the most efficient and professional books online today. [/ QUOTE ] I think you have the wrong impression of their operation. |

What's your WPX screenname? I always laughed at the "witch hunts" sometimes at the tables over who was a bot and who wasn't... bigdog07 has accused everyone at one point of being a bot.
I'm surprised more players who've played with me haven't posted to say I clearly wasn't a bot. The only player I'm sure was a bot was "RowdyAce"... it was pretty obvious, but I never cared since he was easy to exploit. Anyway, I'm done posting until Wpex does their tests with the software I sent them. I'm hopeful they can replicate whatever they detected and deem my tools appropriate. As for my “nonchalance” at having 8.5K taken from me, I’ve already addressed this… some of you seem to want to vote innocent based on how hard someone cries on the stand – that’s just not me. |

Any automated tool that gives you an advantage should not be allowed, plain and simple. This includes PT. Most sites allow PT because it only gives information on the hands that you've been an active player at the table. This is flawed. Poker is a game of information and PT inforamtion is information that you did not aquire yourself, but instead paid someone for a program to do so. If you choose not to use programs like PT you are at a disadvantage to those that do. I chose not to, and that's my problem. I don't use it because I don't want to develop a crutch when I can't use the same sort of tool in live play.
I'm glad this worked out for the OP if in fact he was not "cheating" but would like to see all of these online poker "tools" banned to level the playing field. If all sites banned this type of software do you really thing that traffic would go down??? Maybe for the first day/week/month, then all the real players would return to a much better and fair environment. |
