LOL COLLEGE

But wait there's more!

I have to side with the OP strongly in this one, but at the same time say that most of the people railing him aren't necessarily wrong, just misguided.

First, OP can form coherent sentences with correct, basic punctuation and few spelling errors, so that puts him in the 90th percentile of graduating seniors easily.

Second, he passed the final with a B, clearly showing an understanding of the material. Those calling him a stupid loser don't seem to grasp these two points.

Third, he DOES deserve a D. However, this is only because he clearly didn't meet the requirements of the syllabus, which were undoubtedly very high school-esque, i.e. homework and attendance.

Those saying he deserves the D for other reasons ARE the very people destroying higher education, not the OP. It is the lament of mediocrity, arguing the OP shouldn't pass when he knows the material simply because he didn't jump through the hoops that those with a lesser understanding did.

The GED test was rehashed in 2000, making it harder to achieve a passing score. When it was being beta tested, it was found that 60 PERCENT of graduating seniors COULD NOT PASS THE NEW GED.

As college has become more of a given, the dumbing down and high school-izing of it has become rampant and all the excuses of the simpleton (grades shouldn't be based on finals, we just don't "test well," et al) have become the norm.

The fact that so many here could bash the OP and celebrate mediocrity is shocking and depressing.

Chump Change,

i agree with most of your points. however, the fact that OP is clearly smart enough to have made a B in the class makes him e ven more bashworthy IMO. OP, congrats but seriously this is usually a pattern of behavior for your own sake get it together.

Really sux that ur in this situation..u ever think of temporarily withdrawing from the school? Just the semester obviously. All of your grades ad credits from last semester will be dropped. Then u can apply for re admittance with the school's permission.
