chrono chross- all CT fans, do you guys love this too?
zelda:the wind waker-i love the graphics. i dunno FF5, FF7, FF8, FF10- five had the awesome job system, seven is very good all-around, eight may seem like an odd choice but i really like the story/characters, and ten was very impressive with it's ps2 debut. star wars: kotor, jade empire-two great console rpgs courtesy of bioware, although kotor gets the nod on my list halo- excellent game, but goes on my list because of the fun i've had playing it with friends (20 person lan parties ftw) |

I can never list a top 5 for this. In no particular order-
Favorite RPGs: a) Dragon Warrior 1 (NES). My first introduction to traditional RPGs and I loved it even as a kid. b) Zelda 1 (NES) and Zelda 3 (SNES). No comments necessary for the Zeldas. c) Final Fantasy 2 and 3 (SNES). The epitome of traditional RPGs. Probably the RPGs I'll play again next! I'm a huge SF2 fan and FF3's Sabin character was a blast to play. d) Secret of Mana (SNES). You haven't fully enjoyed Secret of Mana until you play it multi-player with someone else who digs the game. My brother is a huge RPG fan and we used to play this for hours after school. Two weeks ago I played this game all the way through again. e) Chrono Trigger (SNES). LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!! A week ago I started playing this again, and just beat it tonight. Eventually I'll go back in New Game+ and try for the other endings and the best equipment and all that. f) Star Ocean (PS1). The best "new" RPG I've ever played. I never played FF7 much, but sounds like I should give it another chance. Favorite Fighting Games: a) Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo (PS2). The best installment of SF everrr! SF3 is alright, I haven't played it enough, and it handles a lot differently due to the parry system. b) Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 (SNES). Kabal. Enough said. Favorite Sports Games: a) Tecmo Super Bowl (SNES). By far the sports game I spent the most hours on. Countless seasons with every team. So many friends of mine tell me about how great they were in this game, then they play me and give up by the 3rd quarter. I know there's some players better than me, but I crush your average guy in the game. b) NBA Jam (various). Such simple arcade fun! So many great times playing this game with friends of mine... c) NFL Blitz (various). Like NBA Jam, except with football. |

I just beat Zelda: A link to the Past (on my emulatorments).
Very, very good game. (not as good as chrono Trigger, but freaking hard and freaking awesome). KOTOR is great. Baldur's Gate II is great. Ocarina is brilliant. I'm going to beat FF3 at some point. FF7 was plain awesome. Starcraft is the RTS. Unreal Tournament is a lot of fun. |
