Okay guys, looks like the split has the support of the masses so we will wait and see what the powers that be have to say.

In the meantime, we need a snappy acronym for the new forum since MSNL is already taken. Have at it....

mikechops is right, we don't want anyone to feel demoted. So we need a new forum at the tippy-top.

SSNL (Small Stakes No Limit): <=50NL
MSNL (Mid Stakes No Limit): 100-200NL
HSNL (High Stakes No Limit): 400-1000NL

I currently never post and hardly ever read threads in ssnl because its too clustered. The only threads I end up reading are from the regulars. Then I get upset when no one responds to my thread because i'm not a regular. Does it mean i'm not a good player or don't have good advice to offer because I'm not a regular. No. It just means that since there are so many people, threads from non-regs, which could foster good discussion, are overlooked.

I actually think the split will enhance the sense of community. If you look in msnl, there is a smaller number of threads but a greater number of responses. I think that helps people get to know one another and contributes greatly to the learning process. Splitting the forums will hopefully foster that kind of environment.

uSNL is the perfect acronym for the microstakes (can we get the actual Greek letter "mu" symbol?)... but I'll bet that there will be a ton of questions about what the "u" means
