Bases loaded, one out, Ortiz hits a deep fly ball which is caught on the warning track. Mirabelli tags up, takes off for home, goes back again because apparently he thought he might have taken off too soon, gets thrown out at home.

if this isn't the dumbest [censored] team in baseball, then I don't know who is.
The Yankees are erasing 8-run deficits in one inning and we're not scoring from third on 375-foot fly balls. Awesome. I really really hate this [censored] team lately. /rant

bases loaded, 1 out, mirabelli on third. ortiz hits a fly ball to the warning track, markakis catches it. they cut to mirabelli, who is in the process of returning to 3b to tag up as the cut off man is getting the ball, and dougie is obv out by 5 feet at home

While we're talking about baserunning blunders, Manny twice turned doubles to the wall into singles and failed to score (first time not running out of the box, second time slowing up around first because he thought Payton had fielded the ball cleanly).
