"Mighty" (i know who you are because i matched IPs and both people in question, i feel so smart)-

I personally would do a little more than the buyout, had I been person A. Something like $300 seems reasonable.

IMO, these prop bets (hand prop bets) are not so much a way for others to get rich than just a little extra motivation for fellow 2p2ers to log hands in. I personally think that they are a good way to help motivate a bit, and its purpose should NOT be personal gain for either party.

You should want to help a fellow forum buddy log some hands in. Granted, there may be circumstances in which player B may be unable to finish such hands. But be reasonable- there isn't any reason to be super greedy and spaz out. Perhaps I'm a bit partial to player B because he's my friend, but thinking about it now, I wouldn't really charge anyone the full $800 or what have you on nearly anyone on this forum.

It just seems as if player A only cares about the $800 or whatever, and will stop at nothing to attain it. I don't see how one can pester another so badly, it just seems like a douchey thing to do.

Anyways, good luck to both parties. Hope they find a solution.

[/ QUOTE ]

Seriously? They made a bet, A will finish B might not. If B does not finish, B should pay up as per the agreements of the bet. I don't see how B should be allowed to get out of this. It's just the principle of the matter for me.

Agreed with Tickner. You made a bet, pay up if you lose. Its simple.

im player B in teh poll. u guys dont seem to understand what i want. obv if i lose i pay. but if i still have a reasonable shot, but cant be bothered im trying to buyout at a fair price.

tbh i think sir felix cat's bitching to me about how he had to do it is irrelevant, i'm almost definitely gonna spite do it even tho a buyout is gonna be more +EV. setting a buyout at 800 is rediculous, i wouldnt take that when i probably have a 95% chance of comletion

[ QUOTE ]
When he left, his results over 3 days so far:

Won: $586,408.00
Hands: 1173
BB/Hr.: 48.56
BB/100: 62.58

He is pretty sick.

$240 is a pretty low buyout for a $1k bet over 20k hands with 7 days left, though.

and how would buying out be +EV? Surely your EV for 20k cash game hands is pretty high

playing in the redion of 15k nl200/nl100 is less +EV than doing 6k of 2/4+ + having free time.

also u negotiate the buyout, i really cant see anything more than 300-350 tops. whatever im gonna spite complete anyway
