Cha,

No matter what he has you are close to getting odds. Throw in even a slight chance of a draw or two pair or overpair and it's a clear call. IOW, clear call.

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm not worried about over pairs and I have good equity vs sets, but if he has big draws, like AKhh, AJhh and KJhh, that makes my equity a lot less. There's an outside chance he has JT here as well.

You're not in good shape against AKhh, but not *that* bad compared to pot odds. There are a lot of hands that where you'll be making a slightly bad call, but even a moderate chance of 2pr or overpair makes up for them and even a smidgen of a chance of something like 67 more than compensates for things like AKhh where you are a 2 to 1 dog.

Karp:

On the 8Tdd hand: I'm not sure what you mean by out-of-control, but if you mean he's calling a lot, and raising and putting pressure on the pot postflop, I would just fold preflop. You're most likely going to flop a weak pair or draw, and he's not going to let you play for a cheap showdown.

I would much rather take a flop with that hand against someone who was likely to be holding a big pair.

The AK hand is tough. If I thought that villain could raise that flop bet into two players (including the preflop raiser) with a weak Ace, I guess I would shove. Most likely I would fold.

I'm not really confident though about that though.

Raising JJ here is fine at 25NL too.

I agree 100%. I was just explaining why I leaned toward calling in that particular instance.

Here is a spot I am having some trouble with. Maybe the problem is opening this light from the CO with a villain on the BU that just doesn't like folding?

Comments on all streets welcome.

Villain is 54/26/1.4 over 40.

JB, I like your line, but I think you have to fold the river. YOu have tpwk. I think you're up against 2 pair.

Villain is a TAG reg who 3bets from the blinds vs. other TAGs a bit too wide. But just a bit. Villain will go broke on many flops (like TPNK or flush draw + overcards etc). However he folds all but AK and QQ+ to 4bets. Is it better to 4bet or call PF?

i 4bet and hope he has a hand to call with. i think it's better than trying to get it in on the flop with a pair.

<font color="brown">RVG AND OTHER 4BETTING GODS I CALL FOR YOU!</font>

I was trying to imitate some of you I quess. Villain is 28/25/5 3bets very wide on the blinds. I have folded my PFR to his 3bet two times this session. I would have folded to PF push.

AA hand. I'd call and shove most flop, just call on the dryest ones.

56s hand. I fold. I doubt you've been 3-bet by this guy often when you raised UTG.

Default Scuba Chuck AA hand

Villain is 22/6.5/1.6 over 75 hands. She has been here longer than I.

Hero checks, <font color="#CC3333">BB bets $32.25</font>

I sometimes hate deepstacks. Ok, the main thing I noticed during all of this was the speed at which she bet each round was lightning fast. That's the only thing that made me want to call. I stopped and checked her PT stats, and the only hands she has shown down were KK, AQo and TT. In addition, while her overall AF is 1.6, her FLOP AF is 4.5, Turn AF is 7, and River is infinity.

SC - I think you need to 3-bet the flop to about $10 or so.

As played, I think you need to check/fold the river. Villain is not raising flop, betting turn and betting river with a worse hand, methinks.
