LOTR: Fellowship of the Ring (GAME THREAD)

Night.

The group arrives at the edge of the forest at dusk and prepares to move inside. An orcish arrow flies out from a copse and kills GT1T, or possibly Jeremy, who are both Nazgul. The lone orc scout is already running away (probably running to hide for good, because the boss is going to be pissed), but Legolas's arrow flies true and kills him at 200 paces.

The group enters the forest, which almost seems alive. They quickly find themselves surrounded by some rather unfriendly elves, who eventually agree to take them, blindfolded, into the Elven city in the heart of the woods. In the meantime, they send a group off to dispatch all the orcs that have followed the Fellowship into the forest.

There, they meet Celeborn and Galadriel, who know of their quest, and offer a place to rest and gather strength for the tasks ahead.



She tells Frodo that the Fellowship will be safe here in Lothlorien, as her own Ring of Power, one of the three Elven Rings, can deflect Sauron's Eye from penetrating the woods.

All members of the Fellowship (Aragorn, Frodo, Sam, Legolas, Gimli, Boromir) are immune to nightkills tonight. Plain villagers can still be killed. Roleblocks work normally.

Frodo tries to get some sleep, but he sees Galadriel walking in the moonlight and decides to follow her.

It is Night 6.

Night actions due by 9am.

Frodo follows Galadriel to a small clearing away from the enormous trees that make up the Elven city. She turns and beckons for him to look into a small pool of water in a basin.

In the mirror-like surface of the water, Frodo sees his past, present, and possible futures.



"Yes, Frodo," Galadriel says, "you see that if you stay with the Fellowship, they may all be corrupted by the power of the One Ring and betray you. You must set out on your own soon, and make your own way. Already, you can see that Boromir has been corrupted by the allure of the One Ring.".

Frodo nods somberly, and returns to his bed, deep in thought.

The next morning, he's sad to hear that the villager Neil Stevens has fallen from a tree to his death, but that's the way it is.
