Phantasm when I was 11 or 12. That [censored] still scares me and I have not seen a horror movie since.

My dad rented the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre after watching the movie "Summer School" in the 80's(Chainsaw and Dave go off on TCM in it). I watched TCM with him and had nightmares for days. That movie was so raw and intense! Let's just say I've never ever picked up a hitchhiker in my life!

Trilogy of Terror, with Karen Black at the end stabbing at the floor with that butcher knife. I was 25 when that came out and it gave me goosebumps then.

When I was a kid they did "Beauty and the Beast" as a cartoon serial on this kids show. I was home from school sick with measles or mumps or something. The part when she picks the flower on the beast's island and he yells at her, the weather instantly changes to a thunderstorm. That gave me nightmares for days. I had to watch the rest just to resolve it in my mind.

Me too. Poltergeist [censored] me up too. I'm surprised the Exorcist didn't freak me out too bad, though I was an alter server for ten years. The only recent movie to scare me was "Signs." The thought of aliens coming to earth and singling my family out scares the [censored] out of me for some reason.

It's pretty good for a TV miniseries. It's out on DVD (I've got it). The book is very good too, one of King's finest, IMHO.
