Of course - AKs has no advantages over JTs, but JTs can make more straights.

Does everyone agree with me with opening the pot UTG for 4x BB's with 22? I have a friend trying to argue this with me. 6 handed of course. 9 or 10 handed could be a different story.

depending on what kind of style your playing and how comforatable you are playing pots post flop out of position and also who is at your table, if your getting 3bet a lot, its prolly wise to tighten up, ive tried to only open with 22 from cutoff or better lately since everyone wants to play back at me and i've been running bad, but you can argue for raising or folding either way here....

What else would you do with it? Fold? Seems weak as pocket pairs are your greatest source of income in the micros. Limp? If someone behind you raises now it costs you exactly the same but you don't have the initiative. Clearly worse than raising.

There could be a point for limping if you play with passive calling stations (i.e. everyone has a PFR of 0). Then limping and playing for set value might be better than having a raised pot with 4 people who can't fold bottom pair.

In 6max, I raise all PP from all positions if first in. The only exception is if I have been unusually active and am likely to get reraised or floated light, in which case I will likely fold small pairs.

Matt, that's great news, really appreciate that we aren't being forgotten down here in the dungeon.

Now, Matt, I must ask you not to read any more of this post as it contains Microlimit concepts that are a bit beyond you.

Thanks.

To the pigging monkey who called my 3b OOP with QJo, only to runner/runner the str8, my friend, I have your number, I am coming for you, it will be merciless justice meted out without pity or remorse.

Oh, and most importantly, I know why you called the 3b with QJ OOP. The reason is because you think QJo OOP is a good hand! You are that big a cretin, that enormous an ARSE that this all seems perfectly fine to you.

Monkey, monkey, monkey die.

PS: Please note that Hero played his AA like a cretin too, but still.
