Subway gets a lot of [censored] from people, but as far as chain shops go, i think its easily better than blimpie, quiznos, etc.

[/ QUOTE ]

I like Subway, their deal of 3 foot longs for $12 is awesome. Their meatball sub is always tasty. But if I had to choose, Quizno's is clearly superior. Has anyone ever had Silvermine Subs?? Best delivery sub place on earth, way better than Jimmy John's.

[/ QUOTE ]

Anyone who would describe the meatball sub from Subway as "tasty" need a beating.

Ah, so my crabmeat instincts were correct!

Very much harder for me to pick out a good match for capers than it would be for someone who actually likes them and thinks that they go with anything at all. Harsh, but ... I know I "just don't get it" when it comes to capers.

These absolutely rock. A slightly better alternative for a sandwich, although not usually as available, are real onion rings.

Suzzer99 - Isn't there a Chick-Fil-A down in Redondo Beach? I would eat there everyday if I were close by.

[/ QUOTE ]

Apparently yes

Maybe one day I'll try that. I had them with a good pate once, and even though I'm not a big fan of either pate or capers, it seemed to work.

Suzzer - I think Chick-Fil-A is awesome. Maybe cause I haven't had it that often (like 10x at most in my life), but been great every time.

Chicken Patty Sandwich - this is a staple of mine cause it's tasty and easy. Toasted bun, lots of mayo, tomatoes, some fresh spinach, fry that patty up, you're good to go. I buy the Tyson Chicken Patties at Costco, and I like them alot.

Sandwich Book Rec - Just bought this, Nancy Silverton (owner of Campanile) put this out a while ago. Great sandwich ideas in there - Nancy Silverton's Sandwich Book
