Wait, so you are saying if team's with a winning expectation reduced their variance they would win more often?

And maybe if team's with a losing expectation increased their variance they would win more games!

You are essentially saying "If a team who averages 5 runs a game, and who averages allowing 4 runs a game literally scored 5 runs each game and gave up 4 each game they would be undefeated."

Yeah I know duh. There was supposed to be a certain amount of sarcasm added to it, but I guess I suck at getting that stuff across. I was just trying to point out that when it rains, it pours for their offense.
