Can someone explain what happened involving Milton Bradley in the dugout? I turned it on right after it happened and am lost.

why the hell did the broadcasters hate on Milton for 10 minutes straight? I thought it was funny that they asked Macha what happened with bradley and he answered: "well, we didn't want to waste any at bats, so we went out and got a couple runs with Swish and Scoot."
A's looking great in this game. |

This is a much more general thing, but: why does TV coverage still use the offset camera angle? The majority of the shots in any MLB game are from just to the right of the pitcher/home plate. This oblique angle distorts the viewers' view. Its honestly refreshing when watching little league or other non-MLB games that show pitches from high-center. You get a much better feel for where the pitch is relative to the plate.
Obviously there's no reason a network can set up a camera in left-center that would prevent them from setting up in dead-away center, so why don't they? Multiple times per game, I see a pitch that seems a bit outside the plate or a bit inside that I think the ump gets wrong, but I can never quite tell, because my angle is all [censored] up. Yet there are other, non-MLB games that are shown with high center cams that are a completely different experience. Does anyone know why the major broadcasts refuse to move their cameras over and insist on presenting an off-angle view? |

My guess is that the pitcher would get in the way of the shot.
