As for Favre...well I needed a QB at that point and the next ones picked were Marc Bulger, Drew Brees and Kerry Collins (by me). So all the better guys were already taken.

[/ QUOTE ]

If everyone had already taken all the QB's, then what were you afraid would happen...they would start taking backup QB's in the 6th round? You can wait it out a long time when everyone else already has their QB.

A good general rule is to not take your starting QB until the first backup QB has gone off the board. You would still end up with the guy that you have ranked in the 6-8 range and would have picked up a much better rest of the team in the meanwhile.

14 teams, head to head, etc etc. QB/WR/WR/WR/RB/RB/TE/K that's right, no D.

Had pick 11.

11 - J. Lewis
18 - K.Jones
39 - D Jackson
46 - N Burleson
67 - A. Crumpler (I'm probably way too high on him)
74 - D Brees
95 - M Anderson
102 - TJ Houshmanzadeh
123 - K McCardell
130 - K warner
151 - R. Caldwell
158 - J Pathon

18 teams is hell of a lot. That said, you're rbs still seem to suck. Here's to hoping your QB can stay healthy!

Yeah, the commish let everybody in the world into the league. RB's went flying off the board like nobody's business (27 RBs taken in the first 3 rounds [54 picks]). I was hoping to pick up Delhomme in the middle but like 5 guys drafted backup QBs in the 7th round and I was stuck with Pennington as the best available starter or be stuck with Kyle Orton or some [censored].

The last two numbers are playoff weeks.

Plus, no one picked Collins up until his fourth week. So the numbers are set for only when that QB was started. I had to manually put in Collins's first four games in the interest of fairness. I did not put in Collins's playoff numbers. Since the guy who picked up Collins made the playoffs and the guy who had Favre did not.

Even with the full breakdown they are pretty even. That is with Collins starting the year without a training camp and learning the offense after being thrown into the fire. Favre has been running the same offense since 1993.

The real point here is Favre is no longer the elite quarterback he was. Yes, he is still a very viable option and is in that seven or eight QB group behind Manning, McNabb and Culpepper. I feel like he is in the middle to back of that pack. However, if there is an early run on QBs and he is the highest ranked one left in the 6th, 7th or 8th rounds when I start to think about picking up a QB then I won't be unhappy if I get him. That's a far cry fron three years ago when I was jumping on him in the 3rd round.

Did Owens or Rudi slip to the 3rd? I guess you always find fish in $100 buy-ins

Are you going to start the Mike Anderson fan club soon?
