Loud Crash Adds to Intensity
Luke Chung ($1,200,000) raises to $150,000 preflop from early position and is called by Dan Nassif ($5,300,000) and Leif Force ($1,780,000) in middle positions. The flop comes J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] and both Chung and Nassif check. Force bets $250,000 and Chung folds. Nassif calls to see the turn of 2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] . As the turn is put out, a huge crash is heard throughout the Amazon room, prompting gasps from the audience. The sound came from a huge flat-screen monitor that fell from its perch and shattered on the floor. No one was hurt in the incident, but it definitely added intensity to an already tense final three tables. After the disruption, Nassif checks the turn and Force bets $400,000, prompting Nassif to fold. Force takes down the pot to put him at $2,330,000, while Nassif is left with $4,900,000. |

12:58pm--Scary moment
A scary moment that had nothing to do with the cards. On of the plasma TVs set up for spectators fell off its stand. For a moment, I thought one of the stands of bleachers had collapsed. As it turned out, the loss is only going to be technological. ironic, as that is almost the same as one of their players names (pokerstarsblog update) |

[ QUOTE ]
8/8/2006 12:58PM PDT Jamie Gold has started off very aggressive and has taken down three pots in a row with preflop raises. Gold is now approaching $14,500,000 in chips. If no one at his table is going to play back at him, they should just hand him all their chips at the break. [/ QUOTE ] Gold is at a table with a bunch of short stacks, which should make things interesting. |

[ QUOTE ] Closer to 15, and that's pretty damn low if you're going to be making references to the crazy mahatma of deep-stacked cash games. [/ QUOTE ] You mean like yesterday when he re-raised preflop with 92o when he had a similar M? [/ QUOTE ] ...and then Pamela woke up, and Bobby was alive! It was just a dream...a terrible, terrible dream! Or was it? |

First the players are torn apart for playing back at Prahlad. Now they are being torn apart for not playing back at Gold. |
