Thanks Davey. reducing variance is pretty much what I figured they were doing. so say they agree to run the entire board twice and the pot is 100K. does it get split up into two 50K pots?

[/ QUOTE ]

When they run it twice, do the pots get split into two 50K pots?? If not, then why would the dog ever want to run it twice??

[/ QUOTE ]

The underdog would want to run it more than once as it increases his chances of splitting. If you were a 3% to win you would pay to run it twice on the off chance that you got a split and saved all your cash.

[/ QUOTE ]

400 posts and you don't understand this concept. Jesus.

[/ QUOTE ]

He asked why the underdog would want to run it, not why the favorite would. Why wouldn't the underdog want to run it more than once? There would be no reason at all, which was what I pointed out.

You still do not understand. To reduce variance is the only reason either player would ever want to run it twice. The EV stays (pretty much) the same

Yeah, and decreases his chance of scooping.

The answer to the question "Why would _____ want to run it twice?" is "It reduces variance."

I hope Antonio eventually decides to abandon the LRR with Aces. It's not doing too well.

Eeek... this season Gabe looks and sounds like he is reading straight off the cue cards... last season it seemed like he was making things up on the fly.

I liked last season

What? Explain. The one time he did it this episode, he got a raise and call behind him.

He did it once before the time that Alaei picked up AK. Alaei had JJ before that and laid it down after it came back around to him.

He did it on the last episode too and Alaei made a good laydown. Maybe it's just Alaei that's able to get away from his big hands... I think if anyone else has his cards, they lose more.
