I just found some old PT stats. My $1/$2 winrate is 4.81 over 232,072 hands. Solid.

Very nice. What are you playing now? I assume you have moved up and if not why not? Also do you play FR only or do you also play 6 max and donkaments?

I only say this because you have proven sustained success: MOVE UP!

[censored], if I could be that successfull over 200k+ hands I would move up to 2/4, 3/6, 5/10. Unless you play for recreation/semi-professionally, I see it as a bad business decision to NOT move up. Have you tried? Are you more comfortable at 1/2?

Ideally, I would like to keep beating NL$.50/1 at 2.5-3.5ptbb/100 for another 100k hands, move up to NL$1/2 and do the same and make $100,000 a year supplemental income.

Cliff notes: DLM said he'll be leaving 2+2 soon, IanB has been getting knocked a bit for posting an "Am I any good?" thread, we've been Nit bashing again, and the FRHU participants are anxious to see the updated standings. I sent a pm to Chicken asking if he'd mind updating the chart.

[/ QUOTE ]

DLM will never leave 2+2. Well, he may for a short period of time, but he will return. What was his reason for leaving?

I gotta hunt down that Ian thread. Is it a brag or is he running bad?

[/ QUOTE ]

I think DLM just said something about it soon being "time." I'm guessing he'd miss us all too much to leave forever.

I imagine you've found the Ian thread by now. Think the consensus was that it would fall under the "brag" category.

I'll be interested in reading the trip report...

The 400nl tables are quit different, loaded with regs who know excatly what to do against you and fish levels drops tremendously. nl200 is full of people just waiting to drop back down to nl100 like me so its almost more profitable in comparison. If you play shorthanded its accually easier to move up.

3/6 and 2/4. I dabble in 6m, no donkaments.

I stayed at 1/2 for so long because getting there had been a goal of mine forever. So when I finally got there I was totally content with beating it up. I had no trouble getting to $200 NL (I breezed through $50 and $100 NL) and I was fine making 3500-4000 a month playing very few hands. I play higher limits now and I consider myself one of the better players at my level.

I'd advise you to move up as quickly as you can. If you can beat $50 NL for a good clip, move up and take shots at $100 NL and so forth. There's no shame in staying comfortable and beating down your limits, but there's not many huge differences in the smaller limits, IMO. You might as well test yourself often and move up as soon as you can. It's very, very easy to remain at the same skill level while staying at the same limits. Pretty soon you get comfortable and up on autopilot with your game slowly deteriorating. Moving up into tougher competition ensures that you won't do this (if you do you lose).
