I was the human roller coaster last night...

Down 2BI's, even, Down 3BI's, Up 1BI, down 3BI's...yeah set over sets are fun...but not when you're on the losing end 4 times. Ugh.

Bwahahahahahahaha! Good one Genz! Jesus, that's funny...

....hang on, you're not serious, are you?

-----------------------

Meh. Had a really nice 3BI day at 100NL, 8ptbb/100, 1700 hands.

And yet, damn it, every time I run bad I am convinced the reason is that I am just basically awful at this stupid game and have no fundamental understanding of even the basics.

And yet, when I run good, I am convinced that the reason is simply that I caught some hands or ran into a few donks today/this week, but still have no fundamental understanding of even the basics of the game.

Anyway, here was my toughest spot today, and biggest loser surprisingly...shortie unimportant except he may hold outs for real villain UTG....a huge LAG with a huge stack. This kinda villain is an absolute nightmare for weak "TAGs" (lol) like me. I had tried a couple of 3b before this (usually with a good hand) and he had folded so his failure to disappear preflop worried me a lot. I was absolutely lost on the flop, and I think a lot of that had to do with the particular pot/bet/stack ratios, which really left me stumped in the heat of battle.

................................

saw flop | saw showdown

Preflop: Hero is in the CO with K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
UTG raises to $4, 1 fold, Hero raises to $12, 2 folds, BB calls $11, UTG calls $8.

BB moves all-in for $13.10, UTG calls $13.10, Hero calls $13.10.

UTG bets $91, Hero folds.

Results in white:
BB shows AcQd
UTG shows QsJc

UTG wins $166.80 with Two pair, Queen's and Jack's with a Seven for a kicker

I think I played this absolutely horribly against a LAG's range.

Board: Qh Jh 6h
Hand 0: 47.148% { KcKd }
Hand 1: 20.723% { AQs-AJs, AQo-AJo }
Hand 2: 32.130% { QQ-66, AhKh, AQs-ATs, Ah9h, Ah8h, Ah7h, Ah6h, Ah5h, KTs+, T9s, AQo-ATo, KTo+, T9o }

Even when I'm right, I'm wrong. Sigh.

I love in the micro stakes, when you three barrel with the best of it then some micro stakes expert shows the insanely difficult laydown he just made with a gutshot.

Had a very long and sick day at the tables, dropped 2BI in less than 10 minutes due to a set over set and then someone going runner runner FH against my flopped straight. Started to tilt a little bit for the first time in a while, but grinded back most of the loss. All of this at 25NL, 9 tabling. Might play later but not sure yet.

General simple question, how do you adjust your raising ranges for short stack limpers?

Say 50nl you have KTo on the button, loose bad short stack with $10 limps UTG, folded to you.
