taking a few days off online poker, was just exhausted yesterday as I played 14k hands the 2 previous days. I'm really excited to go play some b&m poker tonight. I play in a 1/2/5 game that is really soft, had a huge win last time, like 1700, so hopefully tonight goes well again. Prolly wont play online again until friday or saturday!

gl in the BnM game. I really need to play more live, I find it much more enjoyable.

Online is more enjoyable when you win, you don't have to pay for a room, no gas, and not have to listen to the donks talking at the tables, and hands are incredibly much faster online than any live game in the world. Good luck at your game though, I myself have said before, that I'm taking a week off of poker and headed to the beach. I think this will be good for my game as of late, although I think I may be coming out of my 2-3 week rut and now have 2 winning session/days under my belt again and starting to feel good about my plays.

im lucky enough to have 3 live games running within 5 miles of my house, all underground obviously, but sometimes I just feel like hearing the chips and feeling the cards, and as long as the stakes are big enough, i guess 15-20 hands an hour will have to do, it is hard when i've been playing 750 an hour for the past 3 weeks tho

Unbelievable hand.

Nogatsira, jonyy, NL Newbie and Corsakh - thanks, nice suggestions. I'll take all that on board.

And you each take a 1/4 share of my FT bankroll! Grats.

Unfortunately, as Newbie twigged, I'm afraid my FT roll is, erm, not very big at the moment. Sorry, hope none of you were depending on this to pay the rent.

.......................

There seem to be several of us taking serious shots/moves to 100NL at the moment.

Now goddamit, is it just me or is decision-making far, far easier at 100NL than 50NL? Dunno, it's just I am finding things much, much more black-and-white there.

Maybe it's just that the bigger money really makes you think more about every action, but there were three areas this morning that I found "easier" (or perhaps, "less confusing") than at 50NL:

1. I was able to judge some marginal vbs (a BIG leak of mine is too little vb'ing) that I'd normally let slide at 50NL. For some reason villain's ranges just seem a bit more obvious.

2. I raised/cr three cbets that I don't believe this morning in a way I'd hardly ever do at 50NL. Again, for some reason, deciding that a flop has missed a villain's range just appears more obvious.

3. Finally, I find it easier to play a, say, 19/17 > 22/19 game at 100NL. I really don't know why this is, but at 50NL I find myself retreating to 15/12 an awful lot. Odd.

I should also probably say that winning 4BI's probably makes it seem this way and I should wait for a sticky patch before jumping to conclusions. lol. Which is of course around the corner.

On the other hand, is it possible that all that time at 50NL wasn't wasted after all....?

Meh, I don't know about this spot here, but generally I become too passive the more people that are in the pot at $50 NL, and you could potentially be looking at a set/straight by that point while holding KK. I'm suprised he checked river though, maybe he feared you had flush, or rather, maybe he was hoping to get a check raise in.
