Brandon had half the chips and got only 20k less than Yuan. Sounds like a steal to me...but I'm not sure.

You are forgetting that they leave 20k to play which he had 12.5k equity in or so.

So the difference between first and second was ~75k. So it is 55k after removing the 20 to race for.

So Brandon got an extra 17k and Yuan got an extra 38k? I've been awake for a very long time so I think I am doing this right.

So I guess Brandon did get sligthly less than 1/2 of the 55k, and that's why it wasn't a great deal?

edit - slightly less than 1/2 of 1/2 of it. God I'm tired.

It was probably a nuetral equity chop, but sometimes you just gotta go for it IMO. 17k more when already have a guaranteed 90k and a chance at 75k more, just aint worth chopping to me.
