The Cosby Show [/ QUOTE ] See. This is dumb. I can get not liking the show, but I have a hard time with somebody not seeing that it was well acted, directed, shot, written. What is your specific beef with the show? |

I just thought of another one that I don't think was answered yet: Blossom.
Haha, it's funny because Six talks so quickly when she's excited...I get it, I get it....Oh, and Joey says "Whoa" all the time...hilarious. Not to mention once a year we'd get the tripe which would follow the words "Next, on a very special Blossom..." Oh, and we can blame Blossom for launching Joey Lawrence's career...plus the careers of his even less-talented brothers. |

[/ QUOTE ] the show went on for far too long, when the series did not hav any of the kids and it was just cosby, his wife and those inner city youth or w/e. the show was horrid after it took that transition, making it the worst long running show, get out a few years sooner and bam, no vote for cosby show from me |

I have paid zero attention to this thread, but I'm gonna say Frasier.

I hated the Cosby show, but liked the people on it. It was just way over the top smarmy and too perfect for me. The "problems" these people had were on the whole amazingly bland and, as always quickly cured, and by the most loving and understanding parents possible on this or any world.
The Cosby family made all other families look like sh*t, and redefined tension and problems into nothing at all. I remember reading once that watching the Cosby show made everyone else's life look like an utter failure, and I have to agree. The Cosbys were friggin pod people, and they gave me the creeps. |

[/ QUOTE ] This is part of the reason that at the time Roseanne was good. It came out at a time when Cosby ruled the airwaves as basically the anti-Cosby (in truth Married with Children was the first anti-Cosby, but nobody really even knew it existed at that point since Fox was the equivalent of UPN at the time) |

Let's go back a few years for...
Petticoat Junction and Hee Haw I would prefer to watch a test pattern than either of those two. Courtship of Eddie's Father only lasted three years. Presumably that is not long enough to count. This crapball show was the only thing on at a certain time when I stayed home from school sick. I'd watch it only because you HAVE to waste your time watching TV if you stay home sick from school. We didn't have fancy-dancy computers or computer games back in MY day. I had Pong on the black and white TV, but that isn't so much fun by yourself. If you change this to worst television series shown on PBS that has an inexplicable cult following...then the clear answer is "Are You Being Served?" Want to branch out into animation? I nominate Fat Albert and The Snorks. I'm too lazy to look up how long they ran for. |

I haven't read the thread, but am going with: Sabrina, the Teenage Witch.
