To me game selection is the be-all and end-all to a console. Though the blue-ray on PS3 is very nice, watched some the other day and the picture quality is amazing.

Yeah, this is pretty much spot on. I'd buy a PS3 if it had any great games I couldn't already play on my 360.

That said, I'm very happy with my 360 as a game console and an HD-DVD player (add-on drive req'd), but I know the PS3 has superior hardware, just very few awesome games out now that take advantage.

also, bluray IMO makes the ps3 worth it on that alone. its cheaper than any other br player and is [censored] amazing, esp if u have a 1080p tv that can fully utilize the br technology. i just got planet earth in bluray and have started watching it and it is just omgomgomgomg amazing!!

Yeah man, Planet Earth in Blu-Ray is [censored] awesome. Highlight for me has to be the Great White leaping clear out of the water with a seal in its mouth all in slo-mo. I would like to have the babies of the cameraman who shot that sequence.
