"Competition is good and the hardest part is it is the same people over and over and over so I'm having to switch back and forth between accounts and mix up my game a lot." [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] You're only saying this because you were stupid enough to post in your blog that you use multiple accounts. Haha, be scared! [ QUOTE ] party is being exceptionally [censored] sexual about this stuff, punishment should fit the crime and while i do think that there should be some punishment for this type of thing, nabbing all funds is a bit extreme [/ QUOTE ] [/ QUOTE ] swiftrhett - Could you please post a link. It would be interesting if being caught cheating online had brick and mortar ramifications. I am sure that if someone were caught hiding tourney chips in his pocket, for future (higher buyin) WSOP tourneys they might find themselves banned from future WPT or WSOP tourneys. Should htere be ramifications beyond those already enforced? (assuming that his is guilty as outlined in OP). T [/ QUOTE ] I feel fairly certain that Harrah's will ban them if they can get cooperation from the sites. On an unrelated note, Larry Flynt got a lifetime ban from the WSOP when he attempted to get someone to lose to him on purpose at the final table when it got heads-up. I know a lot of the Harrah's people, and my gut feeling is that known cheats from online will get lifetime bans from Harrah's properties (which, of course, includes all WSOP events). |

Regardless of the fact that the chances of him playing against himself are really small, I just don't like the fact that I have to play against 6 ZJ's in one tourney. You think the pros would want to play in a tourney where there were six Phil Ivey's???
Thank you Party, keep it up. |

Saying that Zee is going to get a lifetime ban from the WSOP is probably getting a little ahead of things...

The fact of the matter is, even if these guys play 2 or 3 accounts the likelyhood that they end up at the same table in a 500 player event let alone a 5000 player event is relatively small. Also keep in mind there is diminished rewards with each additional account they play. Let's say first place in a $200 tourney is $100k and 2nd is $60k, they can get a 500x return on the first $200 buy in, and only have the opportunity for a 300x return on the second. As you can see there is an inherent cost associated with playing multiple accounts. In my opinion this cost exceeds any edge they may gain in the unlikely chance that two of their acounts wind up at the same table. I personally don't care too much if a player plays multiple accounts in the big multi tourneys cuz in my eyes 99.9% of the time it just adds to the prize pool. As a common practice it does however become a problem in small tourneys less than 100 people. [/ QUOTE ] Diminishing returns on multiple accounts because 2nd place prize is less? That's absurd. |

Agreed, it has been confirmed by a credible source but not proven....that's why I used the term "cheats" instead of the specific names....so don't be confused just because the header on the thread is about ZJ. |

i would be interested in an honest answer from these guys what they do when they get on the same table with the same accounts?
It is also VERY DISTURBING that guys can be cheating ring games from their bedroom, not even using another person. I am going to just start emailing party poker EVERY SINGLE DAY with a generic list of players that I play with often that "I suspect" of multi-accounting. If anything comes from it great, if not, who cares? |

[/ QUOTE ] This sounds like playing 1 account at a time. Changing screenname/logins to prevent opponents from easily recognizing you seems like a fair practice. Party does allow you to change your handle every 6 months. Thanks for posting the link and quote. |
