not really, since Juliet has only been on the island 3 years and Alex is at least 17, hence the whole males giving birth on the time line doesn't work. Plus, Alex is most likely Rousseau;s daughter, remember?

yeah i don't think the timing works out, but the fact that alex is rousseau's daughter doesn't really kill that theory, i mean you sill need an egg. i don't put much stock into wild speculation but it's interesting.

Do we have info that Alex is at least 17, or is that based on how she looks? Do we know if Rousseau gave birth before setting off on her ship? The amount of time before she started broadcasting the numbers + the 16+ years it looped + time that has passed these seasons makes it possible that Ben is the father as well as Rousseau is the mother. However, it's more likely that Alex was taken.

IIRC she went as far as to say that they shouldn't believe anything he says, so there could definitely be some sort of history there.

But even for a crazy woman like her - it wouldn't be that tough to make a call that he is an Other. Especially given the way he was dressed and that she had been supposedly spying on them for the past 16 years. And given her obsession with her daughter - I'd think that she would be jumping at the chance to find out any information on Alex's whereabouts.

I guess it's possible - just doesn't seem plausible to me.

I think a lot of the mystery has kind of been deflated now thats its become more clear that its just some gay cult like corporation causing everything

Alex was born on the island - Rousseau was 7 months pregnant with her when her research ship wrecked on the island. Then Alex was taken when she was a few weeks old.
