[ QUOTE ]
One more thing- Roy Williams making the Pro Bowl is a joke and I am a huge Cowboy fan. I simply don't see how a liability can make it. It is a shame that he is selected once again and Terrence Newman, who is the reason the secondary has any chance whatsoever is overlooked. Newman is a stud and if he had anything around him he would be regarded as one of the best CB's in the NFL but he doesn't have any help. Roy Williams selected to yet another Pro Bowl is like Derek Jeter winning yet another Gold Glove. [/ QUOTE ] Wait, so Roy Williams is gritty? |

I'm beginning tothink westbrook is the most underated player in the NFL [/ QUOTE ] It is impossible for any running back to be anywhere near the most underrated player in the NFL. Do you see why? |

[ QUOTE ] That and because someone said in this thread that Gore has only fumbled once since week 5, so maybe he learned how to hold on to the ball. [/ QUOTE ] So what does that have to do with his value this year? Hint: nothing. I don't know that it's greatly relevant for future years, TBH. [/ QUOTE ] Again, nothing. But if you are trying to make a case that he is a better rusher, it totally doesn't help. I didn't mean to imply (though I probably did) he was a more valuable player. Instead of "more valuable as a rusher" I should have just said something like "better at running the ball." |

just because the quarterback position, among others is much more valuable than the running back psotion doesn't mean a running back can't be the most underated player in the game
do you see why? |

Aal, the point about QB's is true. They get a lot of credit.
But what about the O-Lineman? What about the shutdown corners? What about the D-Lineman? These guys are way more underrated than Westbrook is. |

It is impossible for any running back to be anywhere near the most underrated player in the NFL. [/ QUOTE ] I'm not so sure about this. I guess it depends on how you define underrated. If you're talking in terms of overall value, then you're right. You know I'm in the boat of QB>>>>>RB. But in terms of how Westbrook is compared to other running backs in the NFL, I would say he is very underrated. Tiki Barber is almost the perfect cast study for Westbrook - started out as a 3rd down type back, eventually morphed into an every down back and turned into one of the best in the game. It took some time for Tiki to get recognized - and Westy is in that same position. It will come. |

Wait, so Roy Williams is gritty? [/ QUOTE ] He is an overrated one-dimensional player that happens to be one of two Cowboy players on their roster that has single handedly lost games for them (Santana Moss is dancing right now). So yeah he's gritty! |
