90%+ of the estimates on this thread have Party paying out $6 - $7 Million, and most of the analysis on this thread concluded that the fair payout would have been $14 - $24 Million, or at the very least $9.4 Million (if they pulled out the $5M seed money).

We need real numbers for the payouts, not guesstimates. You reference 90% of the people who chose to comment - but that's probably less than 1% of the people who have read this. And it's totally ridiculous to expect them to pay the $5 mil, given they were victimized. They laid out a business plan in good faith, and the US Govt kicked them in the rear. You can't even begin to imagine they cost they incurred. And still they stood up for their customers and paid a nice overlay.

Party advertised a much larger seat value / overlay, reneged, and now refuses to answer questions about how many seats they paid $s for or how/why they only paid $6 Million.

It's too late for you to start fresh, but you should have taken a different tack. Instead of going in with guns blazing, and an annoying "I'm right, you're wrong, and here's the proof" attitude, you should have gently attempted to ascertain the facts, and approached them openly. It might not have worked, but it wouldn't have been guaranteed to fail.

Now you can't back down gracefully if you're wrong, you can't get any satisfaction if you're right, and you won't get the info you need if it's unclear. Because you blew your best shot.

what overlay are you talking about? If the tourney continued and party took out their seed money my final seat would have been worth $3125 I was paid $1800

do you not see anything wrong with party taking 9.4 million for this tourney and paying back between 6.5 to 8.5 million?

do you not see anything wrong with the way party calculated the value of the final seat?

I really dont understand why you are taking such a strong stance against people who feel they didnt get what they deserved, my guess is you are a bitter cash game player who had no seats.

I did take this approach and was told they paid out the full 14+ Million which is clearly a lie so that approach didnt work to well, they also refused to let me know how many weeklys there were, even though they pretty much told me.

according to them there had to be 90215 weeklies out there.
