I have a pretty simple question that I haven't seen a clear answer to.
What exactly does it mean if it gets pushed back to the lame duck sessions? If it passes then, what kind of a timeframe do we have eto work with until it becomes law? Do we know, or is it sort of up in the air? |

One thing I don't understand is if this whole gaming issue is attached and Leach becomes Frist's pet in Iowa, wouldn't that be a good reason for Democrats to try to prevent it?
I realize that it's really the effort by Frist that is getting the buddy status with Leach, but why don't the Dems bust him out for his real plans (in defense of blocking them the bill),throw some regulation/carveout information out there and publicly laugh at the transparent attempt to add non germane language to an important piece of legislation for personal, political reasons! Therby blocking the DoD bill (and the political gain), blaming it on Frist/Leach, and helping the party by exposing Frist. How can Frist ram hypocritical legislation down our throats for personal gain and "dare anyone to vote no"? Shouldn't someone else planning to run be playing ball here too? |

I hope our invisible lobbyists at least identify to those they speak to about what Frist's true intentions are for making this drive for banning internet gambling. That alone might go a long way.
We have an out if gambling is attached to the DOD since it may only word for credit cards only. I say this is worth at least 4 outs on the river. |

[/ QUOTE ] I wonder what our chances are of grabbing the chips from the pot and running out the front door of the casino That option has yet to be discussed - nobody says we have to suckout. We just have to win. |

Hello all. I am a new poster who is somewhat unsure about the chances off this gambling bill passing are. After reading through these posts it's obvious that it's all still depending (on many different factors) as to whether or not this bill is going to pass. However, I was wondering if you guys wouldn't mind giving me what kind of % you think that this bill is going to pass as it seems to me that the chance of it passing through within the next six months is well above 50% (I know that alot depends upon what happens this week, but I'm also sure that alot of you have a better grasp on what kind of % this bill has of passing are) Thank you. And I really hope this thing doesn't go through as I love internet poker!!
